The Raven DashCam is not just a DashCam. It brings more tech to the car than any other device. From recording as a normal dashcam does (with Road-and cabin-facing cameras), to providing Wi-Fi hotspot for all the kids, to providing on-screen directions & other data (fuel level, clock, temperature, altitude, elapsed time, and live traffic) to the driver, and last but not least it also diagnoses engine trouble codes.
PROs - LTE connectivity, has a small battery allowing it to continue to operate even unplugged for a small period of time allowing a photo to be upload or possibly (if lucky) video footage "access" (it does not store footage on the cloud, only on the SD card in the camera), not too expensive for service including wifi hotspot - only $10 a month for 1GB service, easy install right into vehicle’s diagnostics (OBD-II) port, you can access the footage via the app through Wifi or LTE (LTE will use your data)
CONs - Cloud Storage (that the mention on their website) means 1 photo storage per event (it's not for video storage), video resolution from both camera is not great during the day (it might be 1080p but it's very grainy) (for the price of the camera, it should be great), night vision on cabin-facing camera is very grainy, road footage at night is not good either, Road camera FOV is too narrow, it does not store footage on the cloud only on the micro SD card in the camera,
